In OCT 2007, I attended the inaugural Digital Pharma conference in Princeton, NJ. While I was there as part of a panel discussing “The Present & Future of Marketing: Where āeā is indistinguishable from the Old Channels“, I also met a lot of interesting people in the pharma e-marketing space.I didn’t get a chance to blog on the conference itself, but John Mack over at the Pharma Marketing Blog has a nice write-up.
Anyway, one of those interesting people that I met, was Len Starnes, Head of E-Business, Primary Care, Bayer Schering Pharma AG (boy, that’s a long title to carry around), who was there representing a panel on “The Paradigm Shift: Web 2.0 and the New Era Of Pharmaceutical Marketing“.
I caught up with Len during a break between sessions and did the recording in the main conference room, so the background noise may be a little distracting, but hopefully not too much.
Interview with Len Starnes:
- Head of E-Business, Primary Care, Bayer Schering Pharma AG
In this episode, Shwen talks to Len Starnes about:
- His experience launching an international Multiple Sclerosis community forum
- Global regulatory issues with a pharma-sponsored forum for patients
- Any Web 2.0 considerations for the future
- How Web 2.0 can be applied in the health/pharma industry and where it is going
- 5 question quickfire round
